Freedom of Fear is no doubt one of the best kept secrets of Australia’s metal underground. With respectful nods to everything from Death to Deafheaven, the band harnesses virtuosic ability to rival the excess of the greats of yesteryear, and a classy sensibility that enables them to maintain an acutely modern relevance. These youthful Adelaidians bridge the class of the old with the excitement of the new for a journey into extreme metal that simply begs for your full attention - Lochlan Watt, Triple J

Freedom of Fear's intense and technical live show has seen them tour with Fleshgod Apocalypse and support other international heavyweights such as The Black Dahlia Murder, Obituary, Thy Art Is Murder, Aborted, Jinjer, Obscura, Revocation and more. In 2023, they were asked to perform at Adelaide Guitar Festival becoming the fest's first official metal performance.

"We acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Owners of the land on which we stand, the Kaurna People of the Adelaide Plains. It is upon their ancestral lands that Froth and Fury Festival happens. It is also the Place of the Kardi, the Emu, whose story travels from the coast inland. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging. We respect their spiritual beliefs and connections to land which are of continuing importance to the living Kaurna People of today. We further acknowledge the contributions and important role that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within our shared community."
