Leading the charge in this first announcement, Maryland riff kings CLUTCH return to Adelaide for the first time since Soundwave 2014, ready to deliver a full-throttle rock sermon under the summer sky. One of heavy rock’s most powerful and enduring live bands, Clutch bring towering riffs, blues-fuelled groove, sharp-witted swagger and the road-tested fire of a band that has spent decades commanding stages around the world. This is not just another festival set. It is the kind of heavyweight rock communion Froth & Fury was built for.
Australia’s own ALPHA WOLF bring homegrown heaviness to the top end of the lineup, charging into Froth & Fury with wrecking-ball dynamics, off-kilter hooks and crowd-crushing intensity. Continuing their relentless rise as one of modern metalcore’s most dominant forces, Alpha Wolf arrive locked and loaded with a live set built for total destruction.
Switzerland’s PALEFACE SWISS are known for delivering some of the wildest live shows in today’s extreme music scene, and they are bringing that same weaponised aggression to Froth & Fury. A brutal collision of beatdown force, deathcore intensity and breakdowns designed to tear the floor apart, this promises to be one of the day’s most punishing must-see sets.
When the main stage lights drop, the neon nightmare begins as CARPENTER BRUT closes The Compound with one of the most unique experiences Froth & Fury has ever delivered. Expect a full-scale darksynth rave drenched in horror, metal, cinema and pulsing electronic chaos. It is our twisted tribute to the Big Day Out’s iconic Boiler Room, reimagined in true Froth & Fury fashion as the festival shifts from daylight destruction into full-blown nightfall madness.
IGORRR do not just push boundaries. They tear them apart and rebuild them into something completely their own. Led by French visionary Gautier Serre, IGORRR collide extreme metal, breakcore, baroque drama, operatic intensity and electronic chaos to create one of heavy music’s most unpredictable live experiences. Brutal, beautiful and bizarre, this is less a live set and more a portal into another world.
A double shot of Canadian intensity lands at Froth & Fury with PROPAGANDHI and COUNTERPARTS. Propagandhi deliver razor-sharp politics, technical punk firepower and decades of uncompromising fury, while Counterparts bring melodic hardcore urgency, emotional weight and crushing modern heaviness. From blistering punk attack to cathartic breakdowns, this Canadian one-two punch is built to hit hard, think fast and leave a mark.
Few bands have bridged punk, metal and heavy rock with the authority of CORROSION OF CONFORMITY. From their ferocious hardcore beginnings to the Southern-fried sludge, blues-soaked weight and colossal groove that followed, C.O.C. have spent more than four decades writing riffs that hit like concrete and swing like hell. They arrive at Froth & Fury with a catalogue of crushing classics, road-worn swagger and the kind of groove-driven live power that only comes from a band built to last.
For the death metal faithful, Froth & Fury goes straight for the throat. DEATH TO ALL deliver a crushing celebration of Death and the enduring legacy of Chuck Schuldiner, performed by musicians who helped shape the sound, spirit and evolution of extreme metal. Powerful, precise and deeply revered, this is a rare chance to witness some of death metal’s most important material brought to life with the weight it deserves.
Froth & Fury has never belonged to one lane, and 28 DAYS are proof of that. Blending party-punk, rap-rock and mosh-pit chaos, they helped shape an era of Australian alternative music and now return riding a fresh wave of energy, gold-record history and festival-ready anthems made to get the crowd moving.
Extreme thrash pioneers DARK ANGEL helped push the speed, weight and ferocity of ’80s thrash into even more brutal territory, leaving a lasting mark on the metal underground that followed. Decades later, they remain one of the genre’s most influential and uncompromising forces. Expect whirlwind rhythms, barbed-wire riffing and absolute devastation when they hit Froth & Fury.
Adelaide death-thrash veterans TRUTH CORRODED make their long-awaited return to the stage for their first live show in seven years. Armed with razor-sharp riffs, relentless speed and uncompromising hometown aggression, this rare comeback brings one of South Australia’s most enduring extreme metal acts back where they belong.
Returning to the stage after 17 years, Melbourne extremists THE BERZERKER unleash their ferocious collision of industrial death metal, grindcore and hardcore techno. Driven by hyperspeed precision, mechanical violence and pure sensory overload, this rare comeback marks the return of one of Australia’s most uncompromising extreme acts.
Denver’s FOX LAKE turn nu metal, hardcore, metalcore and hip-hop swagger into a blunt-force festival weapon, delivering the kind of set that gets the whole floor moving before anyone has time to think.
French artist SIERRA VEINS brings a dark electronic storm of synthwave, EBM, darkwave and cinematic pressure, blending violence and melancholy, beauty and brutality into a sound made for the shadows.
Melbourne’s WAYSIDE add huge guitars, emotional hooks and atmospheric alt-rock fire, while RATSALAD bring a blast of Western Australian chaos, punk bite and no-frills energy, exactly the kind of noise needed to kick the day into gear.
Rounding out the first charge, RACCOON CITY fly the flag for Adelaide’s heavy underground. Crowned Best Heavy Act at the Music SA Awards, they bring raw emotion, post-hardcore fire and hometown intensity to Froth & Fury.
SUPPORTING CAREER PATHWAYS FOR ALTERNATIVE ARTISTS
Froth & Fury was created to support Australian Alternative Artists to get recognition internationally.
We are launching a new initiative to support the next generation which will be open to South Australian Artists for the first year - introducing the “New Breed” & “Path to Fury”.
The “New Breed” - is open to aspiring young musicians from 10 years to 18 years to audition for their chance to shred, blast beat or scream their way to the spotlight and win a cash prize and professional development support.
The “Path to Fury” - is a battle of the bands series of heats aimed at providing South Australian emerging artists the opportunity to score the opening spots on the Main Stages of the festival.
This is a new next-generation initiative designed to spotlight rising talent and give emerging acts a genuine path to the big stage. Applications to open in August - watch our social media or sign up to our newsletter for details.
