At the top of it all are KNOCKED LOOSE. From packed clubs to some of the biggest festival stages in the world, the Kentucky heavyweights have become one of the defining heavy bands of their generation. Now they bring their punishing riffs, violent breakdowns and chaotic live show to Adelaide for one of the biggest headline moments in Froth & Fury history.
Maryland riff kings CLUTCH return to Adelaide for the first time since Soundwave 2014, bringing decades of blues-fuelled groove, towering riffs and heavyweight rock swagger. Australia’s ALPHA WOLF bring homegrown heaviness to the top end of the bill, while Switzerland’s PALEFACE SWISS arrive with their brutal collision of deathcore, beatdown force and breakdown-driven chaos.
When darkness falls, CARPENTER BRUT will close The Compound with a full-scale darksynth rave drenched in horror, metal, cinema and electronic chaos, while French visionary IGORRR collide extreme metal, breakcore, baroque drama and operatic intensity into one of heavy music’s most unpredictable live experiences.
Death metal royalty arrives in the form of DEICIDE, bringing more than three decades of uncompromising brutality, while hardcore institution TERROR bring more than two decades of packed rooms, stage dives, circle pits and complete crowd participation. Canadian punk legends PROPAGANDHI deliver razor-sharp politics and technical punk firepower, while COUNTERPARTS bring melodic urgency, emotional weight and crushing modern heaviness.
Few bands bridge punk, metal, sludge and heavy rock with the authority of CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, while DEATH TO ALL celebrate the music and enduring legacy of Chuck Schuldiner and Death with musicians who helped shape extreme metal history. Bay Area thrash legends DEATH ANGEL will deliver a special set celebrating their landmark 1990 album ACT III, before Australian favourites 28 DAYS bring their unmistakable collision of punk, rap-rock and festival-ready energy.
Extreme thrash pioneers DARK ANGEL bring speed, ferocity and decades of underground influence, while Canadian favourites CANCER BATS return armed with their trademark mix of punk, hardcore, sludge and heavy rock.
Returning after 17 years, Melbourne extremists THE BERZERKER unleash their hyperspeed collision of industrial death metal, grindcore and hardcore techno, while Adelaide Thrash Death veterans TRUTH CORRODED return for their first live show in seven years.
Denver’s FOX LAKE bring nu metal, metalcore and hip-hop swagger, while Bristol’s HERIOT arrive as one of British metal’s most talked-about rising forces, delivering a dense mix of industrial metalcore, groove, atmosphere and extreme heaviness.
French artist SIERRA VEINS brings dark electronic pressure through synthwave, EBM and darkwave, while Western Australia’s RATSALAD add a blast of punk bite and no-frills chaos.
The Australian underground runs deep with Adelaide straight-edge outfit STRESSED, Sydney punk wrecking crew ARSE and Newcastle heavy hitters FEEL THE PAIN.
Adelaide cult favourites GUANTANAMO BAY CITY ROLLERS bring their chaotic collision of thrash, grind and punk, while OATH OF DAMNATION deliver blackened death metal extremity.
Rounding out the current lineup, RACCOON CITY fly the flag for Adelaide’s heavy underground with raw emotion, post-hardcore fire and hometown intensity.
SUPPORTING CAREER PATHWAYS FOR ALTERNATIVE ARTISTS
Froth & Fury was created to support Australian Alternative Artists to get recognition internationally.
We are launching a new initiative to support the next generation which will be open to South Australian Artists for the first year - introducing the “New Breed” & “Path to Fury”.
The “NEW BREED” - is open to aspiring young musicians from 10 years to 18 years to audition for their chance to shred, blast beat or scream their way to the spotlight and win a cash prize and professional development support.
The “PATH TO FURY” - is a battle of the bands series of heats aimed at providing South Australian emerging artists the opportunity to score the opening spots on the Main Stages of the festival.
This is a new next-generation initiative designed to spotlight rising talent and give emerging acts a genuine path to the big stage.
Supported by the Department of Premier and Government - CreateSA / Music Development Office (MDO), Carclew, Northern Sound System and ARMI (Australian Rock & Metal Institute.

Froth & Fury’s full-scale alternative playground returns with live-action entertainment, an expanded Tattoo Parlour, a bigger market area, food trucks, bars and plenty more still to be revealed across the Adelaide Showground.
Froth & Fury also remains proudly Licensed All Ages, with kids under 10 admitted FREE.

Built around live music, community and full-scale festival culture, it brings international artists, Australian favourites, local acts and emerging talent together across multiple stages, alongside live entertainment, markets, food, tattoos and alternative culture. At its heart, Froth & Fury is about making live music accessible to everyone. Proudly all ages, whether it is your first festival or your fiftieth, you are welcome.
